THERE ARE NO TELEVISIONS. With extra large soaking tubs for two and gas fireplaces in every room we believe televisions get in the way of intimacy and romance for couples. We do provide free wireless internet access for those who need to stay connected with the outside world while on vacation.WE ARE A SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY.
No matter where one smoked on the property it was noticed by other guests so we felt it best to not allow smoking anywhere on the premises.
As a courtesy to our other guests who are on romantic getaways, we respectfully request no children, no exceptions.
Many of our guests are raising children of their own and seek a quiet, romantic getaway to perhaps become reacquainted and recharge their batteries. With an open fireplace in the living room, gas fireplaces and two person soaking tubs in every room, the pond in the patio area, and the presence of three small (but very well behaved) dogs that live at the inn and are unaccustomed to being around children, we believe our inn is not an appropriate lodging facility for all children
We can provide up to one extra cot in one of our larger suites (the only two rooms that can accommodate up to 3 guests with a roll-away bed): Noble Vineyard or Vintage Reserve. Additional charges apply for extra guests.
Our Garden Suite room Heritage Estate-08 is wheelchair accessible with a king bed and handrails in the shower, gas fireplace, and private enclosed deck.

Rates quoted are based double occupancy and include breakfast, but NOT taxes.
We offer all of our bed & breakfast guests a completely SMOKE-FREE environment. As such, smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, including parking lot and surrounding walkways. Any smoking in rooms will incur a cleaning fee of $800.
Any damage to room or missing property (mini ipads, picnic baskets, hair dryers, etc.) will be charged the cost of the missing item plus a $100 replacement fee.
Per fire department regulations, no open flames or candles in rooms. Any candles will be removed and returned at end of stay.
Multi-day stay may be required during high season or if stay involves a weekend or holiday.
At time reservation is made, guest is charged a deposit of 100% of total rooms costs for single night stays and 50% for multiple night stays.

We only accept gift certificates issued by The Inn On First and Select Registry. Select Registry gift certificates cannot be used with any other promotion or discount.
The Inn On First Deposit Policy:
Single night stays require a 100% deposit.
Multiple night stays require a 50% deposit.
BottleRock Music Festival has minimum stay requirements. A 50% deposit is taken at the time of reservation (booking date), and the second 50% is taken after the line-up is announced in January. For any reservation taken after the line-up is announced in January a 100% non-refundable deposit is taken. After the line-up is announced in January, all deposits already made and those taken afterward are non-refundable, no exceptions.
One WEEK cancel policy: Deposit is non-refundable if reservations are cancelled within one (1) week (less than eight days) of the reservation date. For example, if arriving on June 15th, you must call before the 8th of June to avoid a cancel fee. If we can resell all room nights at full price for those who fall into this one week cancel window, we will issue you a Cancel Credit for 100% of your deposit that must be used within one year of cancel date.***
Cancel fee is the total of your deposit.
All cancellations greater than one (1) week outside of the arrival date are offered one of two options:
Either to use the full deposit as a Cancel Credit that is valid for one year***, or to be charged a fee of 15% of the deposit and the remaining will be credited to your credit card.
***All Cancel Credits expire one year from date of cancellation. Cannot be refunded for any reason once used as a deposit.
***In the case of any catastrophic event, locally or nationally (fire, earthquake, etc.) and a State of Emergency has been declared, all cancelations will receive a full credit gift certificate (no expiration) for the amount of the deposit , or for the amount charged (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.). No cash refunds. Also, any current reservation can be moved without penalty or increase of price to any future date within the year (Holiday and Bottlerock weekends excluded).
Check in time is anytime after 3:30 p.m.
Check out time is anytime before 11:30 a.m.
If you are checking out before breakfast service (begins at 8:30 a.m.), please inform us the day before so we can provide you with a to-go breakfast bag.
Guests who wish to reserve five or more rooms are subject to the following policies:
A group is any group of five rooms booked collectively or independently of each other where all the members are sharing group activities with each other over the course of their stay, and are subject to Group Reservation Policies.
Multiple night stays require 50% deposit due at time reservation is made.
Check out time is anytime before 11:30 a.m.
Final payment is due one (1) month prior to reservation date.
Single night stays require 100% deposit due at time reservation is made.
All cancellations subject to a 15% service charge on the total amount of the stay.
Cancellations made within two (2) months of the reservation date forfeit the deposit. For example, if you arrive on June 15th, you must cancel prior to the 15th of two months prior (April 15th)
All planning and reservations for wineries, tours, transportation, and dining will be the responsibility of the group due to the fact that restaurants and wineries will often require signed contracts.
Please be advised we charge a $50 flat pet fee per stay. Each additional dog is $10. Limit 3 dogs.
Dogs left unattended in the room must be crated.
Any damage caused by a pet will incur a charge to the room to cover repair or replacement and a minimum $100.00 extra cleaning fee.

Lodging in Napa at the Inn on First is much more enjoyable when your pet can join you! The historic mansion is a dog-free zone so no Mansion rooms are available for traveling with your pet.
Three of our Garden Suites rooms (Meritage, Incantment & Heritage Estate) are available for you to reserve as they are spacious and accommodating for your canine companion. In fact, we will not only welcome your furry friend, we’ve created a special program to make their Napa Bed and Breakfast experience as wonderful as yours.

Woof! We are excited about Dan Cartwright, dog trainer and now wine tour driver in the Napa Valley. You no longer need to leave your dog behind when you visit us here at The Inn On First. Dan will take you and your dogs along for the ride, customizing the wineries to your needs and to your dogs’ needs, too. Yes, he’ll even do a little training for your pooches while you sip and enjoy your wine in the Napa Valley. The name of the company is Good Dog! Wine Tours, and we are more than happy to call and schedule your pickup here at the inn. Dan charges by the hour per couple and their dogs. See his website for current pricing.
